More than a quick fix — a thoughtful approach to your hvac and everyday comfort.
Heat pumps operate differently than conventional systems, and the Astral Ridge team knows how to diagnose and service them properly. If your heat pump isn't heating or cooling the way it should, they can help pinpoint the issue.
When a repair stops making financial sense, honest guidance on replacement options can save you from throwing money at a system past its prime. Advice is based on your actual equipment and home needs, not a sales pitch.
A frozen evaporator coil is a common AC problem that often points to a deeper issue like low refrigerant or airflow restrictions. Catching and addressing it early can help prevent more expensive damage down the line.
An HVAC system that's too large or too small for your home will run inefficiently and wear out faster. Proper sizing guidance can help you avoid that headache before any new equipment goes in.

Here's what homeowners often ask before booking hvac service.
A system may run continuously because of extreme outdoor temperatures, airflow restrictions, thermostat problems, inadequate capacity, or mechanical issues.
Check the thermostat and circuit breaker first. Electrical components, controls, safety switches, or internal system problems may also prevent startup.
A heat pump moves heat between indoor and outdoor environments to provide heating and cooling.
Uneven temperatures may be caused by ductwork, insulation, airflow balance, sunlight exposure, system design, or closed vents.
Yes. Restricted airflow can reduce comfort and place additional strain on HVAC equipment.
A mini-split provides heating or cooling without traditional central ductwork and typically uses one outdoor unit with one or more indoor units.
In many systems, keeping appropriate airflow through the duct system helps the equipment operate as designed.
Frozen coils can result from restricted airflow, dirty filters, blower problems, or refrigeration-related issues.
Professionals typically consider building size, insulation, windows, climate, orientation, and other heat-gain and heat-loss factors.
Possible causes include thermostat problems, low airflow, dirty coils, electrical failures, refrigerant-related issues, or a malfunctioning component.
